The Oslo Student festival (STUDiO) takes place 14th-28th August. The wide range of activities attracts thousands of students at the University of Oslo, and is a magnificent celebration and kick-off of a new semester.
In connection with Oslo Celebrations, STUDiO will arrange a DEBATE. The debate is open for all.

Title: “Transformation in South Africa – an insider’s perspective …and some comments from an outsider”
The “insider” is Terry Mashego, a Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Limpopo, South Africa. She will share and reflect on her experiences as a young, black, female student through the Apartheid years...and the transitions she has experienced until today; being a Professor, psychologist and educator in the “New South Africa”
The “outsider” is Wenche Dageid, a former student at the University of Limpopo, now a postdoctoral fellow at the department of Psychology, UiO. She will talk about being a young, female, white student far away from home...and the challenges and opportunities she experienced in the meeting with South Africa - both within and outside the university context.
